Recipe
- Mix in water, cream, chopped onion, tomato puree, and spices with the breadcrumbs. Let swell for 10–15 minutes.
- Add minced meat and egg, mix into a consistent mass.
- With damp hands, shape meatballs onto a baking sheet and cook at 225 °C for about 20 minutes.
The mass can also be shaped into a meatloaf, in which case the cooking temperature is 200 °C and cooking time is 30–45 minutes.
The meatballs can be served with potatoes, pasta, or rice. Per diner, you should reserve about 80 g of raw pasta, about 1 dl of uncooked rice, and about 150 g of potatoes. Use fresh seasonal vegetables to add some freshness and colour to the meal.
Tip
EXPAND THE USEABILITY OF THE BAKING OVEN also for foods that are usually made on the stove or at least not traditionally prepared in the baking oven. The baking oven is suitable for a wide range of cooking purposes and cooking in the oven is a healthy way to cook without extra fat. In some instructions, the meat is browned in a frying pan before being put in the pan, but the meat can just as well be roasted in the oven before the actual cooking without additional fat.
